Treasury Clerk

An internationally recognised retail provider based in Essex is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Treasury Clerk. The company is experiencing significant growth with the addition of new entities being added to their portfolio of countries, therefore the finance team are looking to further develop and strengthen support provided to the business as a whole.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone that is looking to develop their career within an accounting capacity or for someone that has previous worked within a treasury role that is looking to further enhance their skill set. It will be your responsibility for making payments and up-keep of treasury related accounting duties.

As a valued member of the team, you will have a understanding of general accounting and finance concepts; experience of accounting ledgers and reconciliation's; work well within a team or on an individual basis; self-motivated and ability to lead projects and experience of a multi-currency environment. In addition, you will also be required to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you will be communicating with various stakeholders. 

Main duties and responsibilities will include:-

1. Bank payment processing in accordance with internal control procedures
2. Daily Cash reporting
3. Preparation of weekly trust transfer spreadsheet
4. Posting of payments in ledger
5. Allocation of the Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable ledgers on a timely basis
