Treasury Liquidity Risk, Encumbrance Policy and Strategy recruitment
Treasury is responsible for the management and execution of the group's capital, funding and liquidity risks and requirements. The Treasury is centred around five global functional pillars - Capital Management, Liquidity Management, ALM/FTP, Treasury Execution and the Investment Function - complemented by three regional and two business cluster Treasuries.
These functional, regional and business treasuries work together in a matrix structure.
The Liquidity Management function are currently recruiting for an Encumbrance Policy and Strategy vacancy where the desired skill set centres on knowledge of secured funding in either the form of covered bonds, term repo’s, collateral optimisation, funding plans around secured funding, securitisation or origination.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop a policy on encumbrance and recommend limits
- Assess impact of regulatory change on optimal encumbrance strategy
- Co-ordinate with Liquidity Reporting to develop a view of current and projected encumbrance levels for the Group
- Co-ordinate with ALM/FTP to set a transfer pricing policy for collateral availability and usage including incentives for origination of securitisable assets
- Input into funding plan on secured issuance
- Analyse transactions for encumbrance impacts and work with businesses to understand opportunities for collateral management optimisation
- Identify opportunities for use of assets as source of secured funding
- Ad hoc projects relating to liquidity risk management and funding planning
Qualifications
- Experience of secured funding products; ABS, Covered Bonds, Repo and other term secured funding arrangements
- Treasury experience and regulatory liquidity risk experience desirable
- Proven analytical skills and ability to assimilate large amounts of information
- Solid work ethic, high levels of motivation and self-starter qualities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to persuade
- Team orientation
- Ability to work under pressure in an dynamic environment
