Job Description Job Purpose: The Inventory Parts Planner/Analyst is responsible for optimizing and maintaining truck stock inventory assortments. Experience using 3rd party inventory planning software and experience in inventory/parts planning preferred. Intermediate/Advanced level MS Excel and MS Access knowledge and experience required. Job Responsibilities/Functions/Requirements: ? The Parts Planner/Analyst must exhibit exceptional data analysis skills. Inventory/Parts planning experience preferred. Must be able to organize and utilize raw data to identify business trends and to support decision-making using desktop spreadsheet and database applications. ? Intermediate/Advanced knowledge and experience in MS Office skills, including Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, combining databases, etc), Access (building queries, merging databases, etc.) and Word are required. ? Proficient in writing complex SQL queries to extract data for ad hoc data analysis and ongoing business operational reporting. ? Experience using 3rd party inventory planning software preferred. ? The Inventory Parts Planner/Analyst will apply data analysis and critical decision making skills to achieve exceptional business results using data gathered from various sources, including reports, databases and information gathered through process analysis and observation. ? Will work closely with In-Home district teams to identify parts assorting requirements and collaborates to develop strategies that support business goals and objectives. ? The Inventory Parts Planner/Analyst will be required to perform frequent and effective communication with various internal business partners, including In-Home region and district associates, Home Office, and Parts Distribution Center (PDC) Managers and associates ? Must have the ability to generate alternative solutions when faced with a problem, evaluates the consequences of choosing each alternative, and selects the most promising alternative ? The Inventory Parts Planner/Analyst must show exceptional team skills, including ability to lead change and achieve results through others, coach and develop teams and co-workers, and resolve conflict constructively. ? Must be able to be open to change and the ability to effectively implement change quickly ? Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned ? Ability to travel required Experience/Education/Certification Requirements: ? Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience Required Job Competencies: ? Strong MS Office skills, including Excel, Access and Word are required. ? Experience with Sears Home Services information systems (NPS, NPN, LIS, WMS and Lawson) and quality management systems (ISO and Sears Sigma) are a plus. ?
