TSS Compliance Manager — VP (Based in Edinburgh) recruitment

BUSINESS DESCRIPTIONThe office of the General
Counsel ("OGC") at J.P. Morgan ("JPM") includes Legal and Compliance professionals who support the firm's various lines of business. Treasury Security Services ("TSS") Compliance supports the Treasury Securities Services business globally. TSS is a dynamic operating business that processes payments and securities and helps institutional investors to leverage their assets.
ROLE DESCRIPTIONThe TSS Compliance team forms part of the EMEA Compliance Department and the Global TSS Compliance Team and is responsible for providing Compliance support and advice to all TSS lines of business;Regulatory interpretation and analysis.Advising on the interpretation of policies and procedures.Completion and maintenance of a compliance risk assessment.Advising on new product development and implementation.
Providing regulatory education and training.
The role responsibilities include;Providing timely advice and assistance to the business on regulatory issues, compliance matters, policies and procedures.Participation in various governance committees.Co-ordination of and participate in regulatory and client due diligence visits.Development and implementation of compliance policies.Assess the compliance impact of new products and services.Keep abreast of regulatory and legislative changes and provide advice and guidance to allow the business to operate in a compliant and controlled manner.
Execution and development of compliance training.

Qualifications
ROLE REQUIREMENTSThe successful candidate should;Have
extensive relevant
Compliance experience or other related experience e.g. WSS business experience,
Legal, Risk Management, Audit , Operations Controls or similar.Demonstrate an ability to interpret regulatory requirements and relate them to operational requirements.Have a good appreciation of the regulations applicable to WSS in the UK.Audit/Industry Qualifications or a University Degree.Be motivated to deliver results as part of a geographically dispersed global Compliance team.Have strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility and build strong and effective partnerships with senior management across Compliance, the business and other control functions.A proven history of effective networking and team promotion and development.
Able to work with the broader Compliance teams, lines of business, external control functions and stakeholders whilst also retaining the ability to challenge and improve current processes.Demonstrate clear and concise communication, presentation and written skills.Have good organizational skills, with an ability to manage and prioritise deliverables in order to meet deadlines as required.Have flexibility regarding working hours due to the global nature of the role.Expect to travel to other locations as required.J.P.
