About the Job
The role is reporting to the Team Manager of the newly formed Corrosion, Inspection and Production Chemistry Team which is housed in BP's central Upstream Engineering Centre.
The applicant will have deep technical understanding of all aspects of Inspection management and how it relates to key engineering decisions within Major Projects and Operations.
*Establish a central UEC Discipline Engineering Inspection Team.
*Provide day to day leadership of the UEC Inspection Team.
*Support the SETA in developing the discipline specific Engineering Technical Practices (ETPs)
*Support the SETA in developing and steering BP Inspection policy in a wide range of relevant industry Codes Standards
*Provide expert engineering guidance across Upstream for Inspection Engineering
*Participate actively in the CoP leadership team.
*Provide perspective into and pull on the Upstream IRF technology program
*Establish and Lead Continuous improvement programs in the area of inspection Engineering
BS in Engineering or related Science.
Extensive solid industry experience in the field of Inspection, Integrity management with strong internal and external peer recognition
*In depth knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards
*Demonstrated leadership and problem solving capability
*Experienced in risk management process, e.g. HAZOP, HAZID, CTALA
*Proven ability
*Strong personal skills in written and oral presentation and will have experience of overseeing and taking responsibility for work undertaken by others.
*Strong commitment to HSSE.
