An opportunity exists for an Underground Mining Engineer to join the team at Oaky Creek No.1 Mine. Reporting to the Development Superintendent, your key focus in this role will be to provide technical support to the relative operational departments of the mine to successfully achieve production targets whilst maintaining the highest standards of safety.
Your responsibilities will include being involved in the panel delay analysis, development and communication of the mine planning process, maintenance planning, in addition to the design and analysis of support systems ensuring safety and cost effectiveness.
To succeed in this role you must have a strong commitment to safety, quality and best practice concepts to encourage a safe work environment. You will have a minimum of 2 years experience in UG Coal Mining, with exposure to mine planning software such as AutoCAD. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
