Purpose of Role:
To deliver a high level of service to UK Institutional clients and enable Client Relationship Managers to focus on client retention and business development deliverables. The Client Service Analyst works on a dedicated portfolio of clients and builds a relationship with clients from take-on. They holistically own the client's experience of SSgA's service and they develop a thorough understanding of clients' ongoing investment and service requirements. They manage and resolve queries and they have a good familiarity with SSgA's products and solutions.
Major Responsibilities:
The Client Service Analyst shapes our clients' experience of SSgA in the following activities:
- Onboarding
- Portfolio restructures and amendments
- Preparation for meetings with clients
- Correspondence
- Client and consultant queries
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Project managing client portfolio events
- Engaging with Legal, PM, ENB, Compliance, KYC, Reporting, Billing as part of the onboarding process
- Working with client to overcome administrative burden
- Establishing reporting and contract notes requirements
- Anticipating client meetings and preparing reports, performance, attendees, briefing notes, slide decks.
- Working with reporting and finance teams to ensure that reports and invoices are timely, accurate and of a high quality.
- Chasing outstanding debtors
- Compiling distribution lists for invites and correspondence
- Answering queries on client instructions, signatures, IMAs, fees, transaction costs / spreads, valuations, factsheets, performance, transactions, events, cut-off times and audits.
- Updating the client database with client details, opportunities, clients at risk, transactions, and generating custom reports to assist RM create client strategy and business development plans.

Education Experience:
- IMC essential with CFA study preferred
- Operations experience gained from an investment manager, custodian, prime broker, fund administrator, hedge fund, or investment bank.
- Degree qualified or equivalent with a financial or analytical discipline prefererred.
Specific Technical Knowledge/ Qualifications:
- Analytically minded with strong problem solving skills
- Understanding investment markets and settlement.
- Understanding of fund valuation and performance measurement desirable.
- Exposure to Collateral Management.
- Strong MS Windows applications, specifically Excel.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities to meet internal and external deadlines.
- Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external clients.
- Willing to assume responsibility and take ownership of tasks.
