UK Financial Accounting Manager (McGraw-Hill Financial)
Job Description
EssentialAccountability
Manage statutory and regulatory reporting for UK (21 legalentities) and other smaller EMEA locations. Prepare complex statutory accountsincluding EMEA consolidation including compliance with accounting policies andassessing judgmental accounting issues. Manage relationship with externalauditors and internal stakeholders.
Mergers, acquisitions and disposals business partner. Supportmanager on UKand other smaller EMEA located deals. Performing financial due diligence,reviewing legal documents and planning system integrations.
Other finance project work. Support manager on legal entityrestructuring projects including working with external advisors on judgmentalissues and coordination with local finance teams and global accounting.
Processimprovement projects and promoting best practice that can be shared globally.
Manage the liquidation of UK and other smaller EMEA dormantcompanies, coordinating with external advisors, company directors and localauthorities.
Assist manager with Treasurymanagement across EMEA including loan relationship management and intercompanysettlements.
Presenting to wider finance team on key issues, initiatives,development programs
Bank signatory and invoice approver for EMEA
Statutory reporting for UK group companies with revenue ofapprox £250m
Qualifications
Qualified (preferablyChartered) accountant from a 'Big 4' background with 1 – 2 years postqualification experience. Strong technical accounting skills, thoroughknowledge of UK GAAP essential and good US GAAP/IFRS knowledge desirable. Sufficientconfidence, knowledge and ability to work with minimum supervision. Knowledgeand experience to exercise professional judgment and initiative. Ability tocommunicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
