UK Head of AML( MLRO/ CF11)

A well-known international investment bank is looking to recruit for the UK MLRO (CF11) to ensure that the banks UK based entitles, have policies, procedures and processes in place to be compliant with regulatory and legal obligations and the expectations of our regulators.

This includes, but is not limited to drafting policy and procedures, the provision of training, monitoring and refinement of AML processes, the management of AML inspections, regulatory, internal and external audits, to include the resolution of points raised and the reporting of suspicious transactions. In addition provide support to all lines of business and legal entities operating in EMEA.

Responsibilities:

-To identify, assess, monitor and manage money laundering risk; and comprehensive and proportionate to the nature, scale and complexity of their activities.
-Provide appropriate information to the relevant governing bodies and senior management, at least annually, on the operation and effectiveness of implemented money laundering systems controls;
-Implementation of appropriate risk management policies and risk profile in relation to money laundering, including documentation of a firm’s application of those policies;
-To ensure that money laundering risk is taken into account in the above named entities day to day operations, including development of new products, take-on of new clients and changes in the business profile; procedure for maintaining all money laundering records of the firm, excluding those maintained by the business departments, which will be the responsibility of those departments subject to checking through the firm’s anti-money laundering program; and
-Ensuring that KYC procedures are kept up to date, and that all new clients are reviewed in accordance with current procedures; and
-To ensure that any identified suspicious activity is accurately documented and reported to Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) as appropriate.

Skills:

-Strong technical AML/ Financial Crime knowledge of the UK, European and US financial crime regulatory environment
-Good experience dealing with Senior Management, Board of Directors, the regulator and various other external and internal examiners as required
-Financial Crime / AML professional qualification
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
