Uk Head of Marketing/PR/Media Relations – Financial Marketing recruitment

the ideal candidate will be respinsbile for the following area's.

New Business Development: The Managing Director will be responsible for developing a new business plan for the London office. That will include a goal for client acquisition and billable revenue for the calendar or fiscal year; plans for client prospecting (development of prospect database, event calendar, etc.), arrange meetings with prospects, develop program proposals, cross-selling of marketing services (marketing collateral, website development, public relations, etc.) and develop an estimated budget for new business activities. The Managing Editor will submit progress reports on new business development to the CEO as well as involve management in the US office in new business activities, including development of new business proposals, pricing of programs, etc.

Management of Staff and Office:   When it becomes necessary to expand the London office's staff, the Managing Director will be involved in the recruiting (i.e., writing up a job description for the position(s)) and training of staff. The Managing Director also will be in regular communication with the US office on staff hiring and retention efforts. All new hires also must be approved by the US office. The Managing Director also will be responsible for assigning and overseeing account executives working on client accounts, collecting staff timesheets, scheduling vacations, submitting and reviewing client/vendor invoices to accounting, and various other office-related duties.

Account Management: The Managing Director will be responsible for developing and implementing communications programs for the client(s). This will include media relations (pitching stories, writing press releases and other editorial content); arranging and participating in face-to-face and telephone media interviews for the clients(s); monitoring media for story ideas; submission of client status reports and arranging weekly calls/in-person visits with clients. The US office will support the Managing Director in many of these activities, especially media relations, until the London office can be fully operational on its own.
