UK & Nordic FI Coverage
Summary
*Support the UK Nordic FI Senior Bankers for the team's Investment Banking business origination activity for the UK Nordic FI clients
*This person will need to have a proven FI sector expertise in Corporate Finance and ideally good knowledge of the other products and solutions used by FI clients (main focus on banks and insurance sector)
Main responsibilities
*Manage the creation of multi-products pitches, marketing efforts and transaction processes including coordination with other team members within the team and other departments of the bank, clients and external advisors
*Strong industry/ sector and client knowledge to identify new opportunities and understand industry trends
*Requires strong technical, advisory and consultancy skills as well as extensive experience in the FI sector
*Strong project management skills and ability to supervise junior bankers, coordinate staffing and work with other product partners
*Commercial ability to build strong client relationships and originate new business
*Prepare business plans, assess valuations and perform merger impact analysis
*Act as a leader, manages the client team effectively, check decisions are implemented. Ensure that roles and responsibilities across the client team are clear for a particular project. This is extremely important as it always includes various business lines
*Strong internal communication skills to build key relationships within the organisation
*Reports to the Senior bankers and Vice President in charge of the UK Nordic FI sector

Level of authority
*Expected to work with a large degree of independence with the ability to request support on most complicated issues/ situations
*Expected to assume some important business development and relationship management responsibilities
*Expected to have strong degree of intellectual curiosity in the FI sector given developments across regulations and political developments
*Demonstrate strong "self starter" attitude able to take initiative
Internal external contacts
*Internal: Senior bankers, MA, DCM, Balance sheet solutions, Capital structuring and and other departments of the bank relevant to his/her coverage
*External: Senior officers from clients and external advisors
Specific context
*Should be available to travel on a regular basis if required
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education
*Excellent academic record from a top-tier university
*Post-graduate qualification like MBA/ACA is helpful
Past experience
*Corporate Finance experience - must have MA and structured finance
*Must have FI sector experience
Languages
*Fluency in English
*A Nordic language will be useful but not required
Technical skills
*Strong analytical and valuation skills including Excel financial modelling
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Strong organisation skills
