UK OFFSHORE SALES MANAGER recruitment
The main purpose of this role is to achieve all allocated offshore bond sales targets by providing support to the UK Bank and Wealth Manager and Retail teams for identified offshore bond producing accounts (Banks, Wealth Managers and key financial advisers) and through ownership of such accounts where no account manager relationship exists.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver offshore bond targets in conjunction with the aligned Account Manager by developing and influencing relationships with identified key UK Offshore bond producing advisers.
- Deliver target from a panel of offshore bond accounts owned by the UK Offshore Sales Manager.
- Establish and maintain panel positions with key distributors to ensure contacts are realized and UK Offshore Bond targets are achieved.
- Identify new opportunities with banks, wealth managers and financial advisers that provide offshore solutions and report these to the International Distribution Development Manager.
- Identify opportunities with key distributors which could be to the benefit of the wider International business and Group.
Produce action plans (including key performance indicators) for key distributors in consultation with the International and UK TTM teams. - Continue to build and share UK Offshore knowledge to ensure a level of competence is achieved across UK TTM.
- Ensure that role specific Treating Customers Fairly requirements are met in line with key outputs.
- Achieve offshore bond targets.
- Develop the knowledge and understanding of the Company’s UK Offshore proposition to increase confidence amongst allocated accounts and teams.
- Negotiating the best deal for the Company when faced with strong competitive pressures and/or pressure within each account.
- Influencing the criteria used to decide best advice panels so that the Company is placed favourably.
- Establish and maintain appropriate business relationships with specialist distributors.
- Ensure that account specific operational activity is in line with business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with local TTM teams.
- Influence distributors to enter new markets, introduce or adapt processes
- Building and maintaining relationships within the specialist key distributors and within Company structures.
- Balancing the needs of specialist key distributors with the needs of the Company.
- Explain legal and technical queries in a manner which can be understood by the sales field-force and distributors with varying levels of understanding.
- Maintaining a demanding working lifestyle involving frequent travel.

Core Requirements:
- Educated to degree standard or equivalent.
- AFPC qualifications, including Investment papers.
- Extensive experience in a sales role within the UK Offshore market place.
- Extensive knowledge of the tax and trust benefits for offshore bonds.
- Understanding of the various jurisdictions for offshore bonds.
- Detailed knowledge of UK Offshore distributor populations, their needs and track record of influencing these.
- Successful track record of selling UK Offshore propositions in the Intermediary market place.
- Detailed knowledge of competitor propositions.
- Proven track record of delivering against target.
- Experience of presenting to large groups.
- Experience of coaching sales staff.
- Ability to translate and communicate complex technical ideas and concepts so they are easily understood by others.
- You will have a good appreciation of the Intermediary Sales customers, products and services.
- Your knowledge should also extend to an appreciation of the current Financial Services market place, environment and changes.
- Desirable:
- IMC qualification.
- Evidence of existing relationships with specialist international and offshore advisers.
- Evidence of comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of the wider international and UK offshore business.
