UK Sales Manager

National Sales Manager required within the central region (Birmingham, Coventry, Oxford, Derby, Nottingham, Leeds, Manchester) to manage the sales force and sell branded products for a leading automotive company.

Our client is a leading provider to the automotive sector.

An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced and driven UK Sales Manager to lead and motivate the direct field sales function throughout the UK.

The Brief

·            Lead, develop, manage and support the entire external sales force for the business.

·            Continually develop the regional sales strategy in line with the overall business plans and budgets / targets.

·            Implement and deliver sales growth to achieve both revenue and profit targets.

·            Work in conjunction with other divisional heads to combine sales activity with Marketing, Technical support, Finance and Operations.

·            Proactively contribute and engage in Senior Management meetings.

·            Plan and execute growth in “key” target markets for the business.

·            Nurture business relationships with “key” industry groups and bodies.

·            Pioneer new customer and revenue streams.

·            Regularly review and evaluate the regions performance versus targets.

·            Appraise Area Sales Managers performance and implement progress milestones.

·            Ensure seamless communication flow through the team, marketing and Senior Management.

Our Candidate Summary

Target Profile / Experience

·         Inspirational leadership and an established sales management track record spanning at least 3 years is essential.

·         Excellent understanding of the automotive aftermarket and parts distribution channels are highly desirable.

·         Strong commercial awareness in addition to sales focus is a prerequisite.

·         Persuasive and affable presenter with the ability to engage and inspire subordinates, peers and customers alike.

·         A business closer able to recognise and capitalise on buying signals to a successful conclusion.

·         Succinct communicator with an ability to operate through all levels of the business.

·         Technical appreciation of mechanical or automotive applications is a desirable quality however by no means essential.

·         Self starter and highly motivated individual towards goal and target achievement.

·         Stable career to date with an ability to demonstrate progression and achievements throughout time whilst engaged with an employer.

·            PC literate covering all general Microsoft applications.
