The Opportunity:
This is a team of highly capable programmers looking to expand due to growth of business and market share. My client is looking to hire some exceptional Java programmers with strong engineering skills, who understand performance computing in a low level of detail and who have a genuine passion for technology. This rapidly expanding business will offer any new joiners an extensive amount of challenging projects where they will be expected to innovate, design and deliver software for the Front Office Equities Connectivity DMA platform. This is a time critical environment and my client is looking for people who don't just build applications but have experience of developing the framework and underlying messaging bus.
Key responsibilities are:
* Build Java applications with micro-second performance
* Liaise with the Quants, Sales and Trading desks
* Take full ownership for the end to end development process
You must have proven experience either in finance or other industries of building similar mission critical , high frequency, low latency software. Strong academics of a min of 2:1 or similar from a scientific background required. This is a great chance to gain exposure to and build market leading, advanced technology and software solutions.
