Full Job Description
The duties will include:
- Underwriting and negotiating our commercial insurance business
- Building relationships with brokers and customers
- Implementing underwriting policies
- Leading negotiations
- Coaching assistant and trainee underwriters
Our client is looking for a candidate with the following skills :
- Solid commercial underwriting experience from a Motor class of Insurance
- An excellent understanding of underwriting principles and practice
- Knowledge of compliance and regulatory issues
- Awareness of the insurance market
- Working towards a relevant professional qualification would be desirable
In addition you`ll need to show us top-notch relationship-building and communication skills at all levels, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You`ll also need to demonstrate a take-charge attitude, along with a track record of managing varied workloads. In addition, a high level of numeracy and computer literacy are essential.
