Underwriter
A rare opportunity to join this "household name" the role purpose will be to contribute to the profitable development of the business within the Household insurance area, to include recommending changes to underwriting rules and documentation. Supporting to the Senior Underwriter within the unit, you will be expected to provide technical guidance to include policy wordings and underwriting guidance as well as assisting in the area of recommending new underwriting concepts, product covers, pricing alternations and documentation, using market/competitor analysis when appropriate. The jobholder will play a key role in maintaining the quality of business written.
The successful applicant will possess sound understanding of underwriting principles and experience of a wide range of technical issues relating to Household risks and have a strong background gained within a large insurer. You will need to be good at solving issues relating to business and have the ability to prioritise workloads, Progression towards ACII is preferred and will be a distinct advantageHillman Saunders is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
