Unix (Sun Solaris) GURU wanted for Antwerp Job in Antwerp 2000, Antwerp Belgium
My client is a big international integrator looking to reinforce his Unix team
Tasks
You will be part of the "Back Office Application Operations" team within the Infrastructure Operations Unit
• Responsible for the administration and operations of different Unix and Middle-tiers with a focus on Solaris and RedHat Linux.
• Daily use and improvement of our network and system management tools (CA Spectrum - CA eHealth - BMC BPPM).
• Reconfiguration of systems/ implementation of new SW modules while respecting our change management process.
• Ensure, on a daily basis, the control, integrity and accessibility of the Servers, applications and databases.
• Provide fault isolation as well as the implementation of new versions and maintaining operational documentation.
• Implementation of change projects.
• Participate in the definition of service improvements and innovations.
About you
• Graduate or equivalence experience
• 4 years of experience in a similar function
• Proven working experience in IT systems administration / support / configuration.
• Strong ability to work in a team, to report and to work under pressure
• Good Communication skills and Customer Oriented
• Rigorous and ambitious
Required:
Sun Solaris (Zones/Containers)
• Linux
• Scripting languages (Perl, PHP,ASP.NET)
• Web design skills
• Oracle, MSSQL
• RedHat Linux
• Knowledge of SAN-concepts and terminology
• Security Management tools
• Java based Middle-tiers
• Knowledge of ITIL (Change, Capacity, Configuration, … mgmt)
• Show potential for further career development towards Technical Expert level
