-- UNIX/Linux Analytics Engineer, Senior-01117346 Description Key Role: Maintain responsibility for the development and testing of CND alert feeds into a Linux environment. Implement solutions as approved and ensure that upgrades and changes comply with established DoD CND guidelines. Work with the team to develop approaches for CND alert data feeds into various SIEM capabilities. Work with the team responsible for the planning and development of a robust and scalable management infrastructure for CND alert capabilities. This position is located in Ft. Meade, MD. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: -5 years of experience with direct information security -5 years of experience in working with UNIX and Linux systems -Experience with network traffic analysis, audit log analysis and forensics, and using tools including ArcSight, Sourcefire, Tripwire, and other security monitoring tools -Top Secret clearance required Additional Qualifications: -Experience in working with IP networking and networking protocols -Experience with developing, maintaining, and analyzing adequate audit trails and logs that demonstrate the effective security of systems and networks and ensure adequate information is available to facilitate the investigation of security-related incidents -Knowledge of security-related technologies, including encryption, IPsec, PKI, VPNs, firewalls, proxy services, DNS, electronic mail, and access-lists -Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities -Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills -BA or BS degree in CS, IT, Information Systems, MIS, or Engineering -Active CISSP or Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) Certification required -DoD 8570 Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Top Secret clearance is required.
