The evaluation is to determine similarity in fit, form, function and price to similarity of commercial industry parts. The technical and price review of similarity is documented in and used in support of the Long Term Contract files. Reviews subcontractor?s technical Commercial Item Justifications to determine if the US Govt components are similar to commercial components. Performs analysis of drawings to include the evaluation of price realism and or cost information. Job requirements Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering degree preferred with a minimum 5 years experience with Aerospace Electronics technology. Eight years of direct and electrical manufacturing engineering experience will be considered in lieu of Bachelors degree. Must have direct experience with electronic component engineering and capable of writing technical papers to support cost reasonableness. Preferred understanding of Federal Acquisitions Regulations (FAR Part 12) Commercial Item Determination. See Commercial Item Handbook issued by the Department of Defense. Strong computer skills - MS Office, ERP software and data management. Understanding of electrical and electrical component manufacturing processes.
