US Fixed Income and Commodities

Position Description

The Risk Control Group (RCG) works within the Firm's Sales Trading Division and is responsible for the overall program of supervision and information security in Fixed Income, Commodities and Bank Resource Management. The team seeks to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations governing the firm, as well as adherence to internal standards, controls and policies. RCG members sit on the trading floor and are part of Non-Market Risk Management.

The RCG Group is looking for an associate to join the RCG team.

Responsibilities will include:
• Support maintenance of key data/metrics required to support supervisory processes
• Act as a contact point for requests/escalations from supervisors, Legal/Compliance, and the BU
• Assist with approvals, provisioning and reviews of various applications owned and accessed by the front office
• Assist with projects related to supervision and information security, including RCG's primary escalation platform, Supervisory Dashboard
• Engage with global RCG team to focus on and deliver increased automation and standardization across applicable surveillance processes
• Daily review of surveillance reports and escalations to supervisors and/or Legal and Compliance as needed
• Develop business requirements documents and write procedures
• Action trading limit approval requests

Skills Required

Key skills and experience requirements:
• Exceptional organizational skills and a high degree of attention to detail
• Experience with project management and working with technology teams
• Background in Compliance, Risk Management, Technology, or Operations
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• An understanding of and strong focus on the mechanics of a control environment, including escalation and risk-related issues
• Proven ability to take ideas forward and to challenge others with integrity and maturity
• Proficiency in MS Office and related applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
