COMPANY
A global leader in the life sciences industry who build apps and online solutions are looking for a User Experience Designer to help make sure their client’s user experience lives up to their patient-centred values.
ROLE
As User Experience Designer, you will work with our Product Managers, Client Services,
and RD to understand and model user personas and use cases and to turn these into user interfaces
via prototypes and specifications using your skills in interaction design, usability engineering, and visual design.
Your work will primarily include visits to users, and usability testing. In visual design, you can rely on help from an external graphics designer. In addition to working on new solutions, you will provide UX consultation to their global Client Services organization that builds solutions to clinical trials of new medicines. If you are interested, your role extends all the way from software to designing new services for the company.
You possess a vision for UX, and the drive and hands-on skills to make that the vision a reality. You enjoy spending time to understand the users’ problems, and find innovative solutions for the broader market.
You must be able to communicate fluently with all areas and offices of the company. You will be part of
a global product management team that is charged with management of services and technology products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Understand business problems from users and, define user personas and use cases
- Building concepts for user interfaces and services, sharing them with the team using visual tools like sketches and storyboards
- Create prototypes, interface wireframes and user flows, ensuring iterative feedback is incorporated into the development process
- Document plans, including wireframes, site maps, logic flows, and assistance in creating of functional specifications
- Conduct usability tests, analyse results and provide recommendations
REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor's degree, ideally in HCI, Cognitive Science, UX Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, or related field
- 3+ years of experience as an Interaction Designer / User Experience Designer.
- A portfolio of work that demonstrates your skills in user experience design
- Proven experience defining, developing, and documenting UX design and interaction requirements/specifications
