As part of the Target Canada Digital Team, the Digital Design User Experience Architect brings a user-centered design approach to the design and helps to develop and implement an innovative guest experience that connects the guest through multiple channels - including online, mobile, and in-store digital experiences. This role will ensure that, whenever possible, guest experiences are designed to facilitate multichannel solutions and cross-channel consistency. As a Senior Specialist, Social Media, you'll take the lead as you - Work with project team and internal and agency partners to translate project requirements and user research into the UX activities and deliverables (e.g., ethnographic research, wireframes, interaction design, persona development, card sorting exercises, prototypes, heuristic analysis, usability testing, etc.) that will be used by the project team in delivering the project. - Lead front-end creative and interactive design across various platforms (online, mobile, kiosk, etc.) and manages internal and external partners. - Develop, document and employ user interface best practices and interaction patterns - Familiar with software and web implementation methods and constraints, with an eye for detail and ability to translate ideas into tangible design specifications - Experience with heuristic analyses and usability testing processes - Actively demonstrate broad creative, strategic, and thought leadership while developing a compelling multichannel experience - Research and stay up to date on new web design, UX processes, tools, principles, technologies, trends and innovations that have the potential to impact the guest experience - Leads initiatives to solve organization challenges and develops innovative new guest experiences with internal and external partners. - Lead prototyping exercises with internal and external partners to advocate and evangelize the multi-channel guest experience. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design and/or User Experience or related - Five to eight years interactive, user experience or related experience - Macintosh and PC hardware and software knowledge (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, Visio, Omnigraffle, Flash, Microsoft Office Suite, Keynote, Acrobat). Experience with wiki platforms, bug tracking tools, and iRise, Axure, or other wireframe/prototyping tools desired. - Understanding of HTML, JHTML, XML/XSLT, CSS, ActionScript and JavaScript (jQuery, YUI, non-framework, and JSON) - Ability to effectively lead team meetings and demonstrated presentation skills to deliver design, UX recommendations to project teams and senior leadership - Experience establishing repeatable processes, frameworks, and UI standards - Experience leading team (immediate and senior leadership) through user experience process - Experience managing an internal team and/or external vendors through complex projects - Ability to seamlessly alternate between dealing with highly technical teams and non-technical business teams Benefits Eligible team members will receive one of the best earnings packages anywhere, including competitive pay, all-around insurance coverage, 401(k), flexible scheduling, training and development and many other perks and benefits.
