Microsoft SharePoint is a NEW technology within the client network and we need a SOLID individual that has actually been involved in the implementation of SharePoint in a Large Enterprise Environment. The contractor will be assisting the Messaging and Collaboration team in the configuration and implementation activities associated with the introduction of SharePoint 2010 environments. Assist in governance and user adoption strategy and planning activities.
Primary responsibilities are as follows:
1. Subject Matter Expert addressing software, hardware, infrastructure, configuration, and environment integration for mission critical vendor products; designing, implementing, integrating and supporting variety of mid-frame and PC operating systems and ancillary products; extensive "hands-on" experience with specific environments and integration relationships to related products
2. Analyze hardware and software needs and recommend upgrades or new purchases; discuss industry and marketplace trends and directions; identify, discuss and solve key operational issues and considerations
3. Design and document changes to software configuration, and maintain integrity and traceability of configuration throughout life cycle; describe key benefits, drawbacks and rationale for standards, policies and practices
4. Formulate system scope, requirements, objectives and alternatives; work in all phases of systems project activities; project oversight and assessments provided; describe key benefits, drawbacks and rationale for standards, policies and practices; and provide status/assessment reporting to management from a team lead perspective
5. Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages; and in-depth knowledge of components of the subject matter
6. Provide comprehensive documentation for processes on supported systems and end-user guides.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
5 years experience in network LAN/WAN systems, network design and analysis, project planning and computer systems, or its equivalent.
Extensive experience supporting a large (15,000 + users) environment.
Extensive experience in the development life cycle from test and cycle to production of an application promotion process
Extensive experience with deploying best practices of SharePoint 2010 environments
Extensive experience with and documentation of site management, content management and web parts
Extensive experience with and documentation of integrating SharePoint 2010 with Microsoft Office 2010, instant messaging platforms and external social platforms
Extensive experience with and documentation of SharePoint 2010 administration and connections to foreign/external systems
Extensive experience with and documentation in identifying Microsoft server performance tuning and monitoring for a SharePoint 2010 infrastructure
Extensive experience with and documentation of Active Directory and LDAP
Experience with and documentation of SharePoint 2010 back-up and recovery and Disaster Recovery strategy and planning
Experience with and documentation of application security and roles are required.
Ability to troubleshoot, research, diagnose and resolve critical application issues quickly is required.
Experience with collaboration tools such as SameTime, QuickR, and Lotus Notes out-of-the-box solutions
Experience with one or more of the following beneficial:
- SharePoint 2010 development a plus
- Lotus Script / Server Agent Creation
- Lotus Domino 8.5 and DAOS (Experience running on AIX and/or clustering a plus)
- SameTime (Unified Telephony/Communications a major plus)
- RightFax
- SMTP Mail and SPAM Filtering (IronPort or Other)
- Email Archiving (EMC SourceOne, IBM ICC or other)
- Collaboration Tools (Quickr or Other)
Experience with Notes/Domino messaging tools and 3rd party products for messaging a plus.
Experience with IBM Connections 3.0.1 and integration with SharePoint 2010 a plus.
Certification in SharePoint 2010 Configuration Administration a plus.
