User Interface Developer (UX Designer) at CineMassive Displays (Atlanta, GA) (allows remote)
Job Description
CineMassive seeks a User Interface Developer (UX Designer) to solve a variety of human/machine interface challenges, including interfacing with large interactive touch surfaces, mobile devices, and motion controlled systems. You will prototype, design and build graphic user interfaces (GUIs) for software applications (desktop, web, mobile). The position will be responsible for capturing user requirements through collaboration with business users and application developers, leading and participating in testing sessions, and coordinating iterative implementation of the UI based on feedback.
Responsibilities:
- Conceive and model user interface prototypes and wire-frames based on collected user requirements, test cases, and developmental objectives.
- Code, install and debug user interfaces using appropriate tools or editors. (The will not have to code it on their own that will be dev team, they might have to create a prototype)
- Identify, recommend and prioritize new user interface features and applications in conjunction with business user requirements or business needs.
- Assist with the definition and development of current GUI style standards, as well as explore emerging GUI standards and trends.
- Document established policies and procedures for following GUI standards design and testing in conjunction with stakeholders.
Skills Requirements
- 3+ years experience designing rich user experiences for desktop, web mobile applications on a variety of platforms.
- Proven track record in applying user-centered design processes and methods to the creation of innovative user experiences. A portfolio is required with resume submission.
- Well-versed in the production of concept sketches, wire-frames (ideally balsamiq), product mockups/prototypes and finished designs suitable for implementation hand-off.
- Experience leading and facilitating design meetings and design reviews.
- Solid knowledge of Windows, Web, Android, iOS and cross-platform GUI standards.
- Strong working knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Fireworks and associated design tools
- HTML 5, JavaScript, emerging mobile web interfaces
- Nice to have: Proficiency with at least one programming language (VB.NET, C#, Java, Objective-C, etc); knowledge of PhoneGap
