Our client is a successful, UK based, IT software solutions company, specialising in the provision of Microsoft Visio-based online process libraries. They are currently looking to recruit a VB.NET Developer / .NET Software Developerto join their team.

As a VB.NET Developer / .NET Software Developer, you will assist in all software production activities from the early concept development stages through to build and deployment. You will provide your technical expertise to the support team as required.

Your focus will be on adding new functionality and enhancements to our client's existing software. There will also be an element of maintenance work, providing minor fixes and changes for both internal and external customers.

Your duties will include:

- Coding new functionality and enhancements to existing software
- Investigating and fixing issues with existing software releases
- Providing technical expertise when required
- Keeping documentation up-to-date

To be considered for this role, you must have commercial experience of developing in ASP.NET and VB.Net.

As a VB.NET Developer / .NET Software Developer, you must be a self-starter who is able to see a project through from concept to completion. Plenty of initiative and the ability to solve problems creatively are also key.

Although not essential, experience with the following would be an advantage to your application: OO design, XML, XLST, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and/or IIS.
