Job Description – Installer II

 

Summary of Responsibilities

Under direction of the lead installer, the incumbent will install, repair, replace, relocate, and test in vehicle camera systems, computers systems, radios, power management and emergency warning equipment, including all associated hardware devices.

 

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for quality installation of emergency vehicle equipment, including but not limited to:

·         Audible and visible warning devices (i.e. lighting/sirens)

·         Computer mount and hardware mounting equipment

·         Mobile data devices (i.e. computers)

·         Mobile communications devices (i.e. radio, scanners, etc.)

·         Antenna systems

·         Prisoner containment systems

·         K9 Systems

·         Push bumpers and  wrap a rounds / pit bumpers

·         Mobile video systems (i.e. in car camera’s)

·         Any and all other equipment as directed by supervisor

 

Job Requirements

·         Long periods of standing on your feet and bending/crawling through vehicles

·         Ability to lift up to 100lbs

·         Competent computer skills with the ability to use common applications (i.e. Microsoft office suite) and necessary programming and service software for equipment listed above

·         Passionate, energetic and has friendly style wanting to delight customers, above and beyond the call of duty

·         Attention to detail, accountability, and self-motivation

·         Ability to be flexible with daily tasks, calls emails

·         Strong trouble shooting skills (i.e. strong analytical and investigative skills)

·         Ability to deal with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.

·         Mature judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision for up to a week at a time.

·         Interest in a small-company culture / high-growth atmosphere / fast paced environment

·         Establishes and maintains relationships and make active contributions to technical issues and discussions.

·         Interest in learning a detailed product line

·         No criminal background and ability to pass background check, reference check and drug screening

·         Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

·         Able to persist and finish projects on time despite obstacles, or redirect when necessary; able to follow instructions or take action and address opportunities with little supervision; able to take extra steps to
prevent mistakes or create opportunities.

 

 

Reports to:  Lead Installer

 

 

Expectations:

·         With a two man team, the expectation is two full vehicle builds will be completed each week

·         Minimum requirement of a workday are 8 to 5 with up to an hour allowed for breaks/lunch

·         60 day evaluation period.  After the 30 days, you will be reviewed by direct manager on progress in a face to face meeting to discuss next steps.  At 60 days,  you will be reviewed by direct manager and CEO or COO in a face to face meeting on progress and next steps.
