The support includes, but is not limited to, disassembly of drive shafts, axles, and components while compiling information and photos for report writing and follow up. Microsoft computer knowledge of Excel and Word necessary. Must be capable of learning software for updating of warranty systems and information logs for data analysis and customer responses. Subsequent to training will be expected to perform work assignments with minimal supervision. Ability to operate fork truck and overhead cranes required. Basic mechanical knowledge and abilities needed. Disassemble, label and prepare for inspection axles, drive shafts and components. Visually inspect components for wear and defects, document accordingly with pictures, record tear down technicians analysis. Interface with Warranty, Application, and Product Engineers regarding problems observed. Interface with Materials Lab for component evaluations. Work frequently with other people. Read and understand technical data and engineering blueprints relating to drive shafts and axles. Use micrometers, dial indicators, digital cameras, etc. Verify part numbers required for service repair.
