Vice President
In the capacity of serving as the OTC Clear business management officer, the candidate will work with the OTC Clear management team to support the OTC Clear business by managing the work on seeking recognitions in relevant overseas jurisdiction, on-boarding of new clearing members, identifying new OTC Clear products, and ensuring that OTC Clear is in compliance with policies, laws and regulations in Hong Kong and relevant jurisdictions. The candidate will report to the Head of OTC Clear.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare documents and coordinate with relevant parties on the application of OTC Clear as a recognized clearing house in identified overseas jurisdictions
- Promote the OTC Clear services by actively marketing to financial institutions and their clients and identifying new OTC products for clearing
- Proactively seek information on how to improve the OTC Clear service offering
- Seek solutions and prepare recommendations to ensure that OTC Clear are in compliance with international standards and applicable regulations, local and overseas, such as EMIR and DFA
- Respond to requests for information from regulatory bodies, central banks and other enforcement agencies
- Maintain current knowledge of laws and regulations, keeping abreast of recent development and changes in relation to OTC derivatives markets
Requirements:
- University degree or equivalent; preferably in Business / Finance / Economics / Accounting or a related subject
- At least 10 years’ relevant experience, of which at least 6 years at a management level with proven operation experience on OTC products, including rates, FX, equity derivatives or commodities
- Clearing and risk management experience is strongly preferred
- Sound knowledge of international best practices, such as IOSCO PFMIs, and well verse in rules and procedures of CCP are strongly preferred
- Experience with dealing with international derivatives regulators such as FSA/BOE, ESMA or CFTC is a plus (including reviewing regulatory submissions)
- Excellent managerial, analytical, strategic thinking, networking, interpersonal and communication skills
