Vice President, Client Service

CIM has generated strong risk-adjusted returns across multiple market cycles by focusing on improved asset and community performance, and capitalizing on market inefficiencies and distressed situations.
The core of CIM’s investment strategy is its focus on urban communities throughout North America that CIM has qualified for investment through its proven proprietary process. To date, CIM has qualified 94 urban communities and has invested in 44. CIM invests across all asset-types including retail, residential, office, parking, hotel, signage and other real estate and infrastructure assets. As of December 31, 2012, CIM manages over $6.7 billion of equity across its family of funds and has invested or has committed to invest in 129 investments for its Principals, partners and investors, which include U.S. and Non-U.S. public and corporate pension funds, endowments, multinational corporations and other private investors. CIM is looking to grow its investor base and therefore seeking to grow the marketing team.
The Role:
The Vice President, Client Service, will be responsible for promoting the Firm’s broad offering of real estate and infrastructure investment products and capabilities to the institutional community outside of the United States, with a focus on either Europe, Asia or specific regions/countries therein. He/She will be accountable for developing business with new and existing clients, building strong relationships primarily with relevant public pension funds, corporations, foundations and endowments, unions and family offices. Responsibilities cover both management and maintenance of existing relationships in these market segments, as well as building new ones, through the expansion of our client’s market position.
As part of a larger team, the Vice President, Client Service, will be expected to coordinate with other members of the marketing team, as well as counterparts in investor relations, in order to maximize the cross-fertilization of ideas. The successful candidate will contribute to raising the overall profile of CIM Group in the markets by communicating clearly and confidently the benefits of the real estate products.
He/She should be effective in identifying the best investment strategy from among a full spectrum of real estate and infrastructure products to solve a clients investment needs. Specifically, performance indicators will include the ability to build new institutional client relationships among real estate and infrastructure investors, raise new capital from existing clients, retain the assets of existing clients, and to assist with new product ideas in the real estate and infrastructure arena.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a business related discipline with MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years overall experience, with the last 3-5 years spent in a capital raising role, real estate and/or infrastructure industry preferred.
• Knowledge in the real estate investment or infrastructure arenas, with understanding of multiple investment strategies relevant to CIM Group’s business.
• Must possess strong financial acumen, an understanding of complex financial matters, and an ability to represent the firm to investors with varying levels of sophistication.
• Must have substantial relationships with senior levels of authority within the global limited partner communities.
• Must enjoy working in a bright, hard-working, and partnership culture where dialogue is promoted and ideas shared openly.

• Ability to make high impact impression in any business situation.
• Strong relationship building skills - ability to develop and leverage relationships across a wide range of professional peers.
