Vice President – Credit Officer ($70K) recruitment
The Company
Large banking corporation with Bank providing products and services including savings accounts, loans, guarantees, foreign exchange, offshore banking units (OBU), trusts, credit cards, cash cards, securities, debentures, proprietary dealing in futures, derivatives, factoring, safety deposit boxes, and e-banking is currently seeking an experienced credit officer with SME loans exposure.
The Role
- Performs assessment on credit applications related to SME business originated by SME team in Hong Kong;
- Works with relationship managers in developing credit packages or structure acceptable to clients;
- Makes joint calls, performs due diligence work and site inspection with relationship managers;
- Presents the credit package to senior management or credit committee for approval;
- Assists the Senior Credit Officers in managing the loan portfolios of designated business units;
- Assists in preparation of loan documentation and activation of accounts. Performs post approval maintenance of account activities; and
- Maintains on-going credit monitoring and conducts loan reviews of clients' accounts.
Your Profile
You will be a university graduate with 10+ years of credit or lending experience mainly in SME business and trade finance. You will have hands-on credit assessment experience in a Greater China setting and prior marketing experience is advantageous. You will ideally have strong trade products, mortgage lending and related documentation knowledge and be fluent in written and spoken English and Chinese, and, have good communication skills in Mandarin.
