Morgan Stanley Co. LLC seeks Vice President, Credit, Risk Management Division in New York, NY to support the monitoring and evaluating of a portfolio comprised of loan and derivatives exposures to credits in the Technology, Telecom and Media (TMT) industries. Analyze terms, structure and credit risk of loan requests. Assess complex corporate and capital structures, and perform credit analysis for loan and derivative counterparties for various lending opportunities including LBOs, MA, commercial paper back-up facilities, Recapitalization, DIP, and exit financing. Conduct in depth due diligence sessions with financial sponsors and prospective borrowers with respect to leveraged transaction underwriting process including legal documents such as credit agreements and amendment requests, including negotiating transaction structures. Assign credit default and loss given default ratings to counterparties which determines Firm's risk appetite. Assess lenders' recovery prospects in a default scenario using going concern and where appropriate, liquidation analysis models. Produce financial base case and downside case models to assess borrower's likelihood of repayment and default, using qualitative and quantitative financial analysis, loss given default credit scoring model, and credit market analysis including public ratings, loan pricing, and CDS spread. Provide risk analysis to Senior Permissioners in the Credit Department for derivatives trade approvals for derivative products such as interest rate swap, foreign exchange forward, commodity, equity options and repo, with respect to derivative contracts and ISDA. Perform loss given default analysis and value collateral packages including liquidation and going concern, and conduct DCF, enterprise valuation, and waterfall analysis. Develop credit stress cases and model cyclical sectors through cycles for sensitivity and scenario analysis. Monitor limit utilization and excesses over limits, and refer excesses with recommendations to senior management for authorization/endorsement, as necessary. Provide analysis of loan modifiers and support for related regulatory exams. Function as leader evaluating industry trends and conditions of companies in portfolio, including competitive position, financial statements, financial notes, and accounting rules and procedures. Co-manage two analysts and two associates assigned exclusively to the portfolio. Participate in projects focused on Credit Evaluation processes, including working with various credit, IT, policy, methodology constituents to reevaluate credit processes, and refining credit policies and procedures. Utilize PC, Bloomberg, Excel, and PowerPoint.

REQUIREMENTS

Master's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related field, and three (3) years of experience conducting credit analysis and monitoring counterparty portfolios for corporate borrowers, with a focus on the Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) industries, in order to evaluate credit ratings and risk on behalf of a global financial services institution. Prior experience must include developing credit ratings and loss given default for commercial lending counterparties and transactions; negotiating transaction structures; presenting to credit committee for the credit approval process; performing TMT industry reviews, financial modeling including financial forecast with scenario analysis, and corporate banking transactions including leveraged buyout, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial paper back-up facilities; and utilizing PC, Bloomberg, Excel, and PowerPoint.
