Vice-President, Healthcare Strategies (National Accounts) with UnitedHealthcare
This position will report directly to the President of Care Solutions and will provide ample opportunity for significant interaction with some of the leading corporations in the Fortune 1000. In this capacity the VP of Healthcare Strategies working with corporate clients will influence the health and quality of care for over 11 million members.
Responsibilities:
- Support existing customers through a consultative relationship including analysis of various reports such utilization, health assessment data, and other population statistics in order to make recommendations for programmatic interventions or to communicate the performance of various clinical programs
- Exhibit knowledge of the clinical program offerings and products including care management, case management, disease management, centers of excellence and other programs
- Demonstrate knowledge regarding the relationship between health care consumption, benefit plan design, clinical program offerings and various communication strategies
- Represent National Accounts with prospective customers by detailing the value proposition for UnitedHealthcare's clinical program offerings and by working internally with product teams to help improve clinical processes and product offerings
The VP of Healthcare Strategies will be supported by a robust reporting and analytics team and will have access to a diverse and experienced set of colleagues within National Accounts, as well as top notch clinical experts throughout the company.
Qualifications:
- Must possess an MD degree or equivalent medical degree
- Current and non-restricted MD license; Board Certified in ABMS Specialty
- Background in disease management, case management and other similar clinical programs from an operational or sales support role is a plus
- Should have extensive client interaction experience
- Helpful to also have experience with population health management
- Travel is expected and can be nation wide - for this reason, ready access to a travel hub is essential
