Vice President Investment banking

Vice President - Healthcare Investment Banking (Bio-tech / Pharma) - San Francisco, California 

The client is a Leading Mid market Investment Bank, with numerous offices across the US, Europe and Asia , they provide advisory services to some of the most well renowned mid market corporates globally. The investment banking team has a strong track record in advisory across all key industries and products and due to increasing deal flow are seeking to add an additional hire to their Healthcare practise with the opportunity to be based in the San Francisco area. The Vice Presidents key responsibilities will be to take the lead in the execution and management of transactions within the General Healthcare / Pharma sector. It will involve dealing with both internal and external parties, and to ensure the smooth running of the execution process. Management and coaching of more junior members is also key to the role. You will work in a small team and gain access to senior management and assist with origination and business development and there is a long term view to develop client relationships as you progress within the firm.

Experience required:

- significant experience at either a senior associate or VP level within the investment banking space across corporate finance / MA / Capital Markets (5 - 10 years experience ~)
- transaction experience gained within a leading bank, boutique or advisory firm within the US markets
- strong affinity to the general Healthcare / Pharma industry and significant experience knowledge within the bio-tech / pharma area is an advantage
- strong financial modelling and due diligence experience
- good team player and communication skills , ability to work well with both senior and junior team members and external parties
