The Vice President will act as senior liaison for several automotive accounts including two high-profile automakers and several suppliers. The qualified candidate will have responsibility for developing relationships with national, regional and industry media, designing and coordinating media events, developing executive visibility programs, account planning and supervision of account team members. Responsible for staff utilization and development, revenue generation, income projections, expense control, and administrative functions related to executing the annual business plan and in meeting profit objectives.
This position will also build a leadership role in outside organizations to increase Ketchum's visibility in marketplace and create new business opportunities and take a leadership role in new business proposal development and presentations; work with account teams to build incremental business.
The qualified candidate must have significant AUTOMOTIVE EXPEREINCE and a record of professional achievement including 8+ years' public relations or journalism experience, experience managing staff, and PL experience. This person will have corporate experience, be an engaging leader, and have excellent financial skills. Key attributes will include: strong media relationships within the automotive industry, strong client counselor, a team builder and leader, possess superior verbal and written communications skills, knowledgeable about social media tools and platforms, strong presentation skills, encouraging a team approach to management, being self-motivated, and dedicated to achieving client satisfaction and internal goals.
