About Childhelp Children's Center of Arizona Since 1998, the Childhelp Childrens Center of Arizona (CCCA) has been instilling a sense of serenity in abused and neglected children by providing treatment, intervention and investigation services. Cheerful colors, teddy bears, toys and child-friendly paintings line the walls of the fully accredited advocacy center enhancing each childs sense of safety and well-being. The goal of CCCA is to provide medical treatment, mental health therapy, efficient investigational resources, and victim support services to address the immediate safety and complete well-being of children who are referred to the center. Position Summary: Responsible for providing services to victims and their non-offending caregivers and/or family members, including family advocacy, education, and community outreach for the Gila County Child Advocacy Center. Essential Responsibilities: Initiates contact with victims and families during the investigative process or upon referral Evaluates and prioritizes needs of victims and their families during intake Provides advocacy services to victims and non-offending family members, including but not limited to appropriate agency referrals Provides information to victims and their families relating to community resources Attends case review meetings to update the multi disciplinary team regarding progress and needs of clients Networks and collaborates with professional agencies Makes referrals to the Victim Advocate for the County Attorneys Office Educates non-offending caregivers and victims about their roles in the investigative process by helping them understand the legal and child protective systems Provides victims with necessary documents, including the Victim Rights Form, as needed and assigned Coordinates services with law enforcement, child protection services, and adult protection services Assesses safety needs and works with caregivers to develop age-appropriate safety plans Attends and participates in multidisciplinary case reviews Maintains the confidentiality of victims and their families Attends trainings on victim advocacy, child abuse, domestic violence, and other related topics, as needed Participates in community outreach and trainings Assists with the Victim Satisfaction Survey Complies with the Centers policies and procedures Shares in potential after-hours call out responsibilities for Center operations Performs other related duties, as assigned Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in human services or other related field Ability to obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card Possess a valid Arizona driver license or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire Certification in CPR and First Aid Excellent written and verbal communications skills Strong computer skills Knowledge of victim advocate services, community resources, and social service agencies Knowledge of and sensitivity to childhood sexual and physical abuse victims and their non-offending families Knowledge of crisis intervention principles and techniques Knowledge of criminal justice system and law enforcements procedures Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment with law enforcement, child protection services, mental health partners, and other agencies working with the victim(s) and family members Willing to work flexible hours, which may include late nights and weekends Childhelp is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer RJG-2007
