Principal Responsibilities
- Play and active role in participate in the oversight of relevant regulatory change projects within predominately the front office.
- Play an integral role in Project managing/building a new “first line of defence” Policies/Procedures/Processes library
- Responsibility for both enhancing and maintaining existing procedures/processes/controls and implementation of new procedures.
- Critical role in building/developing relationships across the front office and the various risk and control functions with a view to embed a strong “control mind-set”
- Assist Senior Management with all internal approval processes for new products and strategic initiatives
Required Experience
- Must have good knowledge of financial/capital markets products
- Previous experience in quickly identify principal risks associated to F/O controls, with the ability/knowledge to and implement challenges and changes where appropriate.
- Candidates must demonstrate an naturally focused control and risk mind-set;
- Good regulatory understanding, namely in terms of UK financial regulations;
- Previous experience of dealing with stakeholders in a wide variety of connected functions;
A background in Operational Risk, Compliance and or Front/Middle Office controls is essential for this role.
