VP of Risk Management
Amoria Bond is currently looking for a VP/Director level Risk Manager to join a prominent and globally-established commodity trading firm. The successful candidate will have strong experience in risk management, from a commodities market perspective, as well as exposure to analyzing credit/counterparty and currency risk. Experience in dealing with Futures and non-Futures derivatives trading is highly desired.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and review market risk among a range of commodities, as well as credit and counterparty risks across multiple global locations.
- Gauge market, credit and counterparty limit requests of businesses, and independently approve or present to approving authorities as appropriate
- Hands-on interactively with risk modelling and trading/hedging strategy formulation
- Work to develop the existing, as well as new, risk systems in co-ordination with IT teams.
- Identify areas of significant risks concentrations. Intercede at appropriate levels of the organisation to drive and influence risk mitigation processes.
- Manage local and foreign team members with the aim of ensuring accuracy and quality of risk reporting and analysis.
Requirements:
- Minimum 12+ years experience in a market risk, commodities, and trading/risk strategy role.
- Comprehensive academic background (MBA from a top tier school and other relevant professional qualifications)
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with a global network of contacts
- Experience in a managerial position.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- High degree of verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and conceptual abilities and ability to apply them to new situations.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels and across various functions.
