One of the world’s largest Investment Banks is looking for a highly experienced audit manager to join their Global Internal Audit function in their London office. The Corporate Audit function provides independent assurance of the effectiveness of key controls, processes and risk management models across the company. Successful candidates will be required to provide risk-based assurance of the governance processes of the bank’s Legal Entities. You will be planning and delivering audits, whilst exercising critical thinking to successfully influence senior business stakeholders and present the audit findings to management. A key element of this role is developing and maintaining relationships with key business partners, regulatory agencies and external consultants. You will also be required to provide insightful leadership in order to develop and motivate your team to achieve challenging targets.

This role reports directly to the US legal Entity Audit Director, and includes up to 10-20% travel. You will be the key point of contact for Legal Entity governance globally for all audit matters.

Candidates wishing to apply for this role must fulfill the following requirements:

· Degree educated (Masters degree advantageous)
· Professional Accounting Certification (CPA, CIA, CFA or equivalent law qualification)
· Prior experience in Audit related to Corporate Governance, strong preference for experience of compliance with regulatory governance frameworks, or experience as a corporate secretary in a bank.
· A very strong understanding of the ever-evolving regulatory environment and industry best practice governance rules, with prior experience either through working at a top Investment Bank or having audited one
· Ability to influence others and implement successful changes
· Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
· Proven track record in leading and developing a team
· Flexibility to travel (up to 20%)
· Fluency in English
· Eligible to work in the UK without the need for sponsorship
