Our client, a top-tier investment bank, is looking for an experienced Java developer to join their fast growing FX technology team in Shanghai.
The Fixed Income FX technology team focuses on delivering the technology that will drive the firm’s FX business. The role involves all aspects of the software life cycle - from requirements gathering, analysis of existing systems and functionalities, through to design and implementation. The candidate will also be involved in the final production roll out and subsequent support. We need flexible candidates who are practical technologists, demonstrate excellent problem solving skills and enjoy all aspects of software development. Frequent interactions with business users (traders, sales) and technologists across the firm and around the globe requires effective written and verbal communications and good interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the trading desk to understand their requirements, developing and enhancing their current technology solution to meet these requirements
- Hands-on design, development, testing and deployment of server-side services and applications supporting the business
- Work closely with regional and global team members on delivering integrated solutions
- Providing support for the desk and build strong relationship with the business stakeholders
Required Skills:
- Proven core Java development experience with in-depth knowledge of service oriented architecture, multi-threading, concurrency, and XML based messaging
- Expertise in core technologies including OOD, java, sql, database, Unix/Linux, Windows
- Great communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to other OOD technologies such as C# and/or C++
- Experience with TCL
- Knowledge of Foreign Exchange Trading systems
