VP- Client Portfolio Manager recruitment
Summary:
The team is responsible for facilitating product sales by providing a high level of technical support to the generalist sales teams focused on intermediaries serving the retail, higher-net-worth and select segments of the institutional market.
This individual will be primarily responsible for creating and delivering customized and broad-based analytics in the area of portfolio construction, risk budgeting, and asset class implementation strategies. The role is designed to include the completion of detailed client portfolio analytics, development of topical / thematic content, and direct engagement with sales personnel and their clients.
Current Overview of the Group:
U.S. Third Party Distribution Product Portfolio Strategy Group works closely with a variety of sales channels in growing and retaining assets in mutual funds, separately managed accounts, and other pooled vehicles. The team’s primary responsibility is to enhance the sales effort through product development, sales collateral development, technical sales support, and delivery of portfolio construction expertise to financial institutions serving retail and higher-net-worth investors, corporate retirement plans, and some direct institutional investors
Responsibilities:
•Senior level engagement on all facets of portfolio strategy and portfolio construction work that is done for financial intermediary clients .
•Prepare and deliver analysis / customized portfolio recommendations for client meetings, periodic sales meetings and other key events
•Develop training modules and collateral to assist with educating sales personnel on various tenets of portfolio strategy and portfolio construction.
•Analyze relevant market-based trends, internal or third-party research on capital markets developments, and other data in formulating new topical content for internal use or for application to client specific deliverables.
•Develop strong command of various systems and analytical tools used by the team (e.g., proprietary optimizers, Morningstar, Bloomberg)
•Field data requests from senior management, sales force, portfolio management teams, marketing and client firms
•Other ad hoc analyses and project work as requested
Experience/Skills:
•Proven track record in engaging with sophisticated financial intermediaries on broad range of topics including asset allocation, risk management and capital markets theory.
•Minimum 7 years of directly relevant work experience
•Strong command of investing, economics, and finance
•Knowledge of asset management and mutual funds business (preferred)
•Familiarity with Excel and PowerPoint to develop and present data-intensive analyses
•Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with others
•Demonstrated proficiency in multi-tasking, problem solving, and management of deadlines
•Excellent work ethic and attention to detail

•CFA or MBA preferred
