VP, Commodity Index Finance recruitment
Our Houston-based client, with significant presence across range of commodity markets, is seeking an experienced VP with product control/middle office background to support their Commodity Index trading business and lead a team of professionals. The successful applicant will be responsible for a broad range of functions including; PL reporting, general ledger, trade capture, trade allocations and liaison w/ quants, risk managers, sales/ trading and technology to test and model trade capture, risk, and PL.
Working closely with technology, the analyst will also be involved in developing, implementing, and testing changes to the firm’s systems, in particular OpenLink Endur.
Additional ad hoc reporting to senior management regarding new trades, projections, client profitability etc will also be a key feature of this role.
Candidates with a background in finance, control, middle office and/or risk are welcomed. Knowledge and experience in the Commodity Index space is critical. Outstanding candidates with Equity Index knowledge, and who have an interest in diversifying into commodities, are also of interest. Strong Excel skills are required, as is experience in people management.
