VP – Corporate Banking Relationship Manager recruitment
Our client offers a wide range of banking and financial services to meet the needs of both large corporates and local businesses. We adopt a relationship approach where relationship and product managers form individual client service teams, focusing on gaining a holistic understanding of the customer's business and financial needs first, followed by customising a comprehensive suite of solutions to support these needs.
Principle Accountabilities:
Performing the role of a senior transactor, you will generate revenue and increase market share by managing, directing and controlling all aspects of business with a portfolio of large Corporate Banking clients in the Commercial Banking Division. Business targets and income contribution are to be achieved by originating new business, cross-selling the bank's numerous products, defending existing business and providing excellent client service to retain profitable clients. You will also leverage on the Bank’s international network to maximize cross-border opportunities. Main responsibilities include:
- Manage, direct and control all aspects of business with a portfolio of Large Local Corporate (LLC) customers within the Commercial Banking Division, acting as the Global Relationship Manager for these relationships globally, in many instances
- Drive Global Corporate Finance (Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Leveraged Acquisition Finance (LAF), Project / Export Finance (PEF) Global Markets) transactions within your portfolio, as well as acting as a resource for more junior members of the CMB team in structuring such transactions
- Increase portfolio income contribution and market share by originating new business, maximising wallet share from the portfolio, increasing cross-sales of the bank's entire suite of products and services, as well as defending existing business
- Continually review the quality of borrowing relationships managed by you so that bad debts are kept to a minimum and profitability is enhanced
- Manage and grow your key customer relationships independently, as well as coaching and supporting more junior members of the team and acting as a member of the Management Team
Skills/Attributes:
- Degree holder with a Finance, Business or Accountancy background
- 8 - 15 years of relevant experience in a front line credit marketing role
- Strong credit and marketing skills with ability to maintain and grow existing client portfolio, acquire new clients, identify opportunities and convert these into revenue for the bank
- Strong knowledge of sophisticated Corporate Finance products (ECM, DCM, LAF, PEF Global Markets), as well as Payments Cash Management and Trade Services products with extensive experience in marketing, structuring and selling these products
- Great communication skills with ability and stature to engage with a diverse client profile including Managing Directors and CEOs of large corporate
- Cohesive team player who possesses a positive ''can-do'' attitude
