VP, Credit Administration
Role:
- Provide and maintain an operating framework covering credit administration, report administration support to the Corporate Lending / Business units in the credit extension and support of credit exposure monitoring and credit exposure reporting.
- To lead/co-lead a team in performing independent checks and monitoring of credit exposure (excesses, over-dues, covenant breaches, etc.) and regulatory reporting administration, preparation and submission. Must also ensure daily operations service delivery meet business expectations, functional roles are clearly defined to ensure there is no conflict of interest, with proper segregation of duties, deliverables are in compliance with regulatory framework for the key operations listed below.
- Drive initiatives to benchmark service delivery to industry best practices, ensure adequacy of controls, bench strength is adequately trained and has breadth and depth of skills to support overall operations needs within agreed SLA.
- Formulate systems work processes and process improvements for an end to end, holistic approach to operational requirements and coordinate with other divisions and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of related services.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or any related discipline.
- Around 15 years of experience in lending, credit administration regulatory report administration and possesses areas of expertise in credit report administration, credit risk management, regulatory compliance. Candidates from Risk Management field or Finance could also be considered due to the regulatory reporting nature of the work.
- Possess good functional and technical expertise required to perform core aspects of the job, including sound knowledge of credit lending, risk, regulation guidelines in relation to Banking Act Section 27, Section 29 MAS Notice 639, 639A MAS Notice 757, etc. and Bank’s Credit Policy.
- Proven track record in managing a sizeable operations team with strong exposure to credit report administration, credit risk management and knowledge of relevant application systems.
- Relevant knowledge or experience in Oracle base query language would be advantageous.
- Possess strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills with well-developed leadership, communication, interpersonal and organization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and to work under challenging and demanding circumstances to meet deadlines.
