VP, DEVELOPMENT MANAGER (DATA WAREHOUSE BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE)

You will lead a team of technical data warehousing BI professionals, including external vendors, to deliver IT solutions to the Bank’s end-user groups. The solution scope involves global Data-Warehouse, Data Marts and Business intelligence applications to enhance the Bank’s operational readiness and financial prowess.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a team to provide technical delivery within timeline and budget.
• Overall responsible for the system architecture and environment to ensure performance, availability, scalability and maintainability. Ensure the architecture is aligned to the enterprise architecture.
• Manage change requests and production defects with release control. When necessary, mediate between end-users and the technical solution team to assess business requirements, its impact and priorities.
• Engage contract staff and vendor in solution delivery in the most cost effective manner.
• Lead a team of internal staff and provide guidance, coaching and mentorship to ensure a consistent and high level of engagement and performance.

Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of experience in application development and maintenance with full software development life cycle (SDLC) experience.
• Possess competent technical knowledge in the following solution platforms/tools:
• Extensive experience in Informatica ETL tool, including maintaining the ETL environment at infrastructure level
• AS/400 or Unix platforms
• Databases– DB2 or Oracle
• Business Object BI tool or Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition BI Tool or SAS BI tool
• Experience in development of data warehouse / data marts and logical data model design; knowledge usage of transformation tools will be an added advantage.
• A fast learner who enjoys analytical work and is proactive in providing solutions with attention to details.
• Strong inter-personal communication, problem solving and documentation skills.
• Banking experience will be advantageous.
