VP, Documentation Manager
You will draft and negotiate derivatives master agreements with counterparties in the Asia Pacific region based on the requests received and priorities assigned, in accordance with parameters specified by the relevant functions and applicable policies and guidelines. As part of the process of negotiating derivatives master agreements, you will review, comment on and assist in drafting, as appropriate, ancillary credit support and other legal documents.
You will review the legal issues pertaining to derivatives master agreements (including regulatory issues, counterparty capacity and authority, enforceability of netting and collateral arrangements, Asian jurisdiction specific issues), liaise with external legal advisers as necessary, and organize and maintain know-how in reference libraries and templates.
You will maintain the relevant data in the legal data management systems in connection with derivatives master agreements negotiated by Legal and participate in the collection and compilation of information, in response to internal surveys and regulatory/ audit enquiries in relation to the use of derivatives master agreements in the Asia Pacific region.
Pre-requisites:
- Degree holder
- Legal qualification, while an advantage, is not required
- Minimum 5 – 8 years of relevant industry experience – ideally gained in a similar IB environment working with financial derivatives transactions
- Strong analytical and communication skills and able to work well with internal stakeholders and clients
