We are focused on putting video everywhere. To do this, we must join advertisers, publishers content providers. We have already begun this effort but need to progress to the next level. With over 1m+ videos, 1760% year over year growth, running on 1000+ sites, we have the ingredients for a gigantic company. We just need the ideal candidate to envision build the service. We are going to do for videos what ad sense did for ads.
We are seeking someone who can convert business goals into developing a team that will create a world class product/service. We handle a number of challenges: devices, we deliver content from browser to mobile devices everything in between; big data, we are collecting Gbytes of user, site, content, ads other information; volume, we are moving from millions of videos a day to billions; the list goes on. We are creating a service that will be used by thousands of advertisers, publishers content providers.
You must enjoy appreciate the above challenges while keeping an eye on delivery. You comprehend how to take multiple small teams drive to releases. You are at ease prefer the agile process. You must possess a unique combination of business technical savvy, a big-picture vision, the drive to make that vision a reality. You must enjoy spending time with customers to understand their issues finding creative solutions for the broader market. You must be able to communicate with all areas of the company. You will be accountable for mulitple different groups: front-end back-end development, active data warehouse big data group, from desktop to mobile platforms/APIs, QA operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Direct the Data, Engineering Infrastructure teams - continuously growing!
- Recruit, employ develop the team (as stated...growing!).
- Design, build, release scale connected apps that can handle billions of i/ops per day.
- Offer technical direction leadership, as well as practical management for all development activities.
- Create processes that facilitates responsibility while not frustrating your team or time to market.
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS degree in computer science or other technical/engineering degrees from an accredited recognized institution of higher learning is essential.
- Solid general software development skills.
- Proficiency developing scalable network applications.
- Comprehension of application server database clustering.
- Familiarity working with databases big data helpful.
- A champion of DRY, RoR style development.
- Eagerness to enhance your skills step outside of your comfort zone in order to improve the product.
- Must possess excellent visual skills be able to operate across multiple platforms.
- Start-up dotcom experience is a extremely helpful.
