Leading Investment Bank is looking to recruit a lead Equity IPV / Valuations Business Analyst with a proven project lifecycle experience. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone who has a strong background in technical line Product Control / IPV / Valuations before moving into Finance Transformation / Finance Change.

The global valuations area has operational responsibility for ensuring that all fair value positions are subject to independent valuation control (IPV), acts as a centre of excellence for valuation issues and also has a mandate covering policy, reserving and other valuation related issues. 

The Valuation Control Change workstream is to design and deliver future state architecture / price verification process.  The role will involve the design and delivery of end state valuation control architecture and process framework, including reporting which consolidates balance sheet, reserving and Independent Price Verifications (IPV) from a single source of finance data, that will meets the needs of all stakeholders including the Front Office, Finance and Regulators.

In Equities there is an additional project to support the front office migration onto new Risk Engine platforms, which is one of the banks top programmes.

To be able to do this you must posses a strong understanding Product Control / IPV and the products, risk positions and key trading strategies globally and leveraging this understanding to add value to project team. 

Must have solid CV with outstanding academics, numeracy, IT literacy and communication skills. Most importantly the potential to rapidly add value in this extremely switched on environment. It is envisaged this person will have 7 - 10 years in Valauation’s, IPV, Product Control experience (ideally across several asset classes) after achieve top quartile academics ACA FTP, 1st Class Degree and A/B’s at A level.

Be able to show future ability to lead and coach others in Finance Change / Finance Transformation..

Ideally a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CA)
