VP Finance Manager -  Financial Control / Regulatory Global Rates and Commodities

Leading Investment Bank requires a solid Finance Manager with a strong background in Financial Control to support the Global Rates and Commodities Businesses. You will be part of a small team with the goal to protect and create value across the desks. With the changing regulatory environment this will have huge impacts upon the business model and you would need to be proactively involved and linked in to the evolving regulatory landscape.

You will work closely with the business to review current usage and identify new and innovative ways to optimise these resources whilst ensuring the integrity of the Financials.

The roles main key areas of responsibilities are; Regulatory Changes, Validation Control, Planning Forecasting and Reporting

• Leverage the specialist functions within the Bank to understand the regulatory changes and the potential impacts to the Business model, work with Front Office to minimize the impacts.

• Understand impact of IFRS changes, and help suggest strategies for minimizing impact on business model

• IFRS7 Level 3 assets review

• Review Asset Liquidity Charges proposal for 2012

• Development of weekly balance sheet flash to include attribution and commentary

• Development of monthly balance sheet packs for financial presentation at monthly product

Will have interaction with Desk Head, Senior Traders/Structures and as the Finance Manager you will be the main entry point from Front Office for Finance and work as a trusted advisor in demonstrating a strong commercial understanding of regulatory issues impacting their businesses.

Should possess a strong Finance Control or Regulatory Reporting background from another leading Investment Bank with experience of Rates, Commodities and RMBS products
