VP Financial Crime Strategy & Implementation- Investment Bank
A global Investment Bank is looking to make a Strategic hire to their Financial Crime Compliance providing oversight and management, of all aspects of Financial Crime Risk including impact analysis of regulatory changes, and driving coordination and execution of the various Financial Crime Compliance work streams and assurance, while ensuring alignment with Global Standards. The background to this is diverse businesses, in a challenging political and regulatory environment. You will be closely working with Regulatory Compliance and business to support the implementation of enhanced working practices in a Line of Business governance structure.
Responsibilities:
-Reporting directly to the Head of Financial Crime Compliance you will be responsible for researching, analysing and recommending solutions and facilitating decision making on a Line of Business, country and regional level.
-You will also be responsible for co-ordinating responses to other Senior Management, and external parties in liaison with other areas of business.
-The role has a strong influence and impact across business and requires significant credibility and capacity to engage stake holders to ensure proper decision making
-Work effectively with, Senior Management, other Financial Crime and Regulatory Compliance teams at regional and country level to reach agreements, find solutions and establish efficient procedures
-Support Senior Management by facilitating compliance with Group standards, policies and procedures; as well as providing input to the development of the above
-Analyse projects, emerging issues and risks and propose courses of action
-Prepare country visits’ information pack, ad-hoc internal and external presentations, including the preparation of relevant analysis and MI;
-Coordinate the preparation of materials used at the various Financial Crime Compliance governance committees as well as those required for external parties e.g. Monitor or Regulators
-Provision of regular and ad-hoc briefings on various topics
-Co-ordination of input to and from Financial Crime Compliance both internal and external.
-Analysis of MI and the provision of risk, Group policies and procedures.
-Recommendation of potential courses of action.
-Experience in a multicultural environment
Skills:
-Strategic awareness and commercial acumen
-Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment – specially Financial Crime, AML regime
-Excellent analytical, judgemental and critical thinking skills
-Ability to work independently, with sometimes ambiguous data, to deliver the required level of results under pressure
-Excellent communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
-Keen attention to detail
-Strong customer focus and ability to build trust with stakeholders;
-Fluent in English and proficiency in European languages beneficial.
