FIRM:
- Our Client is a leading automated execution firm. Rapidly growing and with the vision to offer the best bid and offer prices on every major electronic exchange. As part of their continued growth, the firm would like to hire a senior financial engineer to its team.
ROLE:
- The financial engineering team is responsible for the research, design and C++ development of the suite of algorithms and trading systems that drive the firm.
- As a senior and experienced member of the team, you will leverage your quantitative and hands on technology skills to add value to the entire range of projects the FE team is working on. In addition, you will work closely with quantitative traders and executives at the firm to set the strategic direction of projects and innovation.
- Whilst the role involves hiring, training, mentorship and management of new and junior members of the firm, this is very much a hands on role. It is anticipated that your hands on quantitative research and technology skills will add significant value to the firms suite of algorithms, trading systems, innovation and future entry into new electronic market places.
REQUIREMENT:
- 2-5 years experience in the quantitative research and design of trading algorithms. Broad geographic and asset class exposure is welcome.
- Hands on experience in the C++ implementation of trading algorithms. A passion for design, problem solving and hands-on development.
- A strong knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, systems and applications programming, and multithreading programming.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with programmers, traders, and management.
- Ph.D. or M.S. degree from a top tier institution in Computer Science, Mathematics or Physics.
